It was very rewarding day when cricket brought two countries and generations together at the Metricon Stadium in Gold coast. We began the proceeding with the traditional welcome of our guests and ended with deeper bonds with them. As National Chair Sports -Australia India Business Council, CEO of the Institute for Australia Engagement and Editor in Chief of India News, in conjunction with Queensland Cricket, the Indian Community of Gold Coast and Cricket Australia we organised a networking event to support our women cricketers in Blue and in Green and Gold. We are thankful to Mrs Archana Singh Honorary Consul Queensland, Ms Kirsten Pike, former Australian cricketer and deputy chair of Queensland Cricket Board, Mr Ryan Harris former Australian cricketer, Mr John Buchanan, former Australian cricket team coach, Ms Angie Bell Federal MP for Moncrieff, Mr Nik Senapati President AIBC Queensland, Mr Ankit Taneja Country Head Mahindras and Mr Matt Smith Home Solutions Metricon for making the event such a huge success. The event was instrumental in creating a buzz around the on-going series and also connect our younger generation with the cricketing legends to gather some tips and lessons in cricket and leadership.
